Speaker at INETA - it is official

I got accepted to INETA Europe Speakers Bureau (see page 5). If you need me, just make a sign :). It is really amazing. The guys from INETA are very open and cool. I hope to see some of them this year (hopefully in autumn :)). And the excitement to be on the same list along with Ingo Rammer, Christian Weyer, Dino Esposito, Clemens Vasters and of course Damir Tomicic, just can not be described.
Thank you for your confidence and support, guys.

Here is a short list on topics that I feel passion to talk about: Windows Communication Framework (WCF aka Indigo), Web Service Enhancements (WSE) and Visual Studio Team System, ASP.NET, Atlas, VSTO and debugging applications.

Viewing generated dataset code

When I first started to use the new Dataset designer, the feature that I miss the most is the ability to review the generated .cs (or .vb) code. In VS.NET 2005 this generated file is no longer located in project directory, but rather it is located in some temporary one. The easiest way, which I have found until now, to see this file is to open Class View and double click on the dataset class. This will open the partial class of the generated dataset from the temporary directory.

passed exams 548 and 549

I just saw that I have passed exams "549 PRO: Designing and Developing Enterprise Applications by Using the Microsoft® .NET Framework" and "548 PRO: Designing and Developing Windows®-based Applications by Using the Microsoft® .NET Framework". These exams were in beta when I took them and soon they are going to be available for everyone (if they are not already).
For everyone that needs to renew its certification, here is a link that explains the required exams and migration path from MCSD and MCAD to MCPD:
Dynamics of VS 2005 Upgrade Exams.

Project Noodle

"'Noodle' is the code name for a project I am developing for Microsoft". Ron Jacobs apparently has some thoughts to share on his current project. He provided Power Point presentation and a short video.
I really liked the metaphors about what goals and rules are.

Implement a File Transfer Web Service article

My very, very first article, Implement a File Transfer Web Service, is now live on Visual Studio Magazine. I am discussing the use of MTOM in WSE 3.0 and various tracing and configuration problems. It a real pleasure to see May’s edition of .NET Insight (a FTPOnline newsletter) to be titled with my article’s name. I am planning to continue writing for Fawcette in the near future. Stay tuned.
